  • Multiple resources are available from the first screen
  • Access to more than 100 databases
  • Faceted display of search results in the catalog (e.g., subject, author, publication date, format type)
  • Single Google-like search box that searches multiple resources at once
  • “Did you mean?” spelling suggestions
  • Stemming of search terms
  • Merged results list that eliminates duplicates
  • “Haven’t found what you’re looking for?” help refining search
  • Customizable for our local information

Although the new interface facilitates navigation through the resources and library web site from a single interface, it will not replace the library’s current home page. Instead links to resources from the home page will be directed through the new interface.

LINCCWeb 2.0 was first launched by the College Center for Library Automation (CCLA) for Florida Keys Community College, Miami Dade College and Palm Beach Community College on August 21st. CCLA’s launch followed an extensive and comprehensive development, refinement, and beta design period that collected input from all 28 Florida colleges, their students, and faculty. In the spring, several central Florida colleges also will launch this interface. The remaining community colleges will migrate based on locally-established timelines.

Here is a link to the new Primo interface.
